Our volunteers demonstrate dedication and professionalism every day as they prepare to serve their community.

We come from all walks of life. Our volunteers work as mechanics, bankers, and retail store employees. Some of us are in real estate, car sales, and the fast-food industry. We build houses, farm, and drive trucks. We have volunteers who can embroider shirts and those who are students and educators. You will find some of us working on the beach selling necklaces. Our members are married, divorced, and even serve as active-duty military or paid firefighters in other counties and departments. Experience among our volunteers ranges from just a few months to over 40 years. We are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and strangers who become friends. Many families volunteer together.

Volunteer firefighters are vital in protecting communities from fires and emergencies. These dedicated individuals commit their time and skills to support career firefighters, helping to ensure local fire departments can respond effectively to calls for assistance. Volunteer firefighters take on a wide range of responsibilities—from fighting fires to aiding in rescue operations—that help keep communities safe.
