The Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association consists of twenty-five fire and EMS departments to provide excellent customer service to the citizens of Frederick County with a set of specialized skills to protect lives, property and the environment through preparedness, education and emergency response.

The fire and EMS service is one of the most diverse and challenging vocations today. This service is one service many people take for granted until they need emergency assistance. But these dedicated men and women who provide this service stand ready, willing, and able to respond.

Due to fewer people living and working in their same communities, there is a decline in the availability of volunteers willing to commit time to the fire service. We are actively seeking volunteer members to assist with operational and administrative duties. If you’re looking for a challenge, want to develop friendships, serve your community, or help your neighbors in their time of need, WE need your help!!!
