For some 62-yearold women, baking cookies for a favorite charity would be involvement enough in community affairs. But not for Mrs. Eleanor Hann. She wants to be where the action is. Last fall, Mrs. Hann joined the Brunswick Ambulance Company and in March, she completed an Emergency Medical Technician- Ambulance course in Frederick, making her the oldest EMT-A in Maryland. “Granny” Hann, as she is known to “the boys at the ambulance building,” now rides regularly with the company, taking the daytime shift when many younger volunteers are away at jobs.
