Last night, the Frederick County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association, together with the Ladies Auxiliary, hosted its 33rd Annual Awards Ceremony at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall. Volunteers, Auxiliary members, leadership, and community supporters gathered to celebrate the remarkable dedication and service that strengthen Frederick County’s fire and rescue community.

The ceremony highlighted individuals and companies whose commitment to training, response, and community service stood out over the past year. Awards recognized exceptional performance, lifesaving actions, and the countless hours volunteers contribute to strengthening fire and rescue service across Frederick County.

A standout moment of the evening was the recognition of two extraordinary volunteers who each surpassed an incredible milestone—more than 70 years of service. Their lifelong commitment to protecting and supporting the community embodies the very heart of volunteerism.

Throughout the evening, speakers reflected on the courage, skill, and quiet persistence of the volunteers who show up day after day—often without recognition—to protect and serve the community. The sense of pride in the room was unmistakable as honorees were applauded for their achievements and contributions.

Congratulations to all of the recipients recognized last night. Each award represents countless hours of training, sacrifice, and service—and together, these achievements highlight the strength and resilience of the FCVFRA and the Ladies Auxiliary as reflected in the attached.

The evening served as a heartfelt tribute to the enduring tradition of volunteer service in Frederick County and a powerful reminder of the lasting impact each volunteer makes.
