Our community relies on dedicated individuals who are willing to step forward and serve. The Frederick County fire and rescue volunteer community is built on people like you — neighbors who care enough to give their time, skills, and compassion to help keep our county safe.
As the largest county in Maryland, Frederick County depends on strong volunteer participation to support our fire and rescue services. Whether you’re interested in becoming a firefighter, an emergency medical provider, or supporting your local station through administrative service, there’s a place for you here. No experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn, serve, and be part of something meaningful.
When you volunteer, you’re not just joining an organization; you’re joining a family committed to protecting and supporting nearly 669 square miles of community. Your contribution, in any role, helps strengthen the safety network that thousands of residents count on every day.
If you’re ready to step up, give back, and grow in a rewarding and impactful way, we invite you to start your volunteer journey with us.
